Sanwo-Olu to unveil 36 new roads, six bridges

The Lagos State Governor is set to unveil 36 newly completed roads, five bridges, and a pedestrian bridge across the state starting from Monday. This initiative was revealed during a press briefing by the Special Adviser on Infrastructure at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre. The infrastructure projects align with the state administration’s commitment to development and follow the THEMES+ agenda focusing on traffic management and transportation to benefit Lagos residents.

The projects cover various local government areas, including Agege, Alimosho, Badagry, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, and Kosofe. Highlights include the rehabilitation of Dopemu Road in Agege, construction of Abiola-Onijemo Link Road with a bridge in Ifako-Ijaiye, reconstruction of Irede Road in Amuwo Odofin, and rehabilitation of Oyinkan Abayomi Drive in Ikoyi.

Despite economic challenges, the completion of these projects highlights the administration’s dedication to its promises and the well-being of Lagos residents. The unveiling will commence with the Abiola-Onijemo Link Road and Alapere Pedestrian Bridge on December 9, 2024, followed by the opening of the Ikoyi road network on December 10, which includes Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Femi Okunnu Road, and Macpherson Avenue.
