The Sokoto State Government has affirmed its commitment to cracking down on individuals who vandalize school property to uphold the standard of education in the state. Umar Tambuwal, the Executive Chairman of the Sokoto State Universal Basic Education Board, made this clear during an impromptu visit to Marafa Danbaba Model Primary School in Sokoto South Local Government Area.
In a statement from the board’s Public Relations Officer, Murtala Danladi, Tambuwal stressed the government’s dedication to protecting educational facilities. He assured that anyone found responsible for causing damage would be dealt with according to the law.
Tambuwal also mentioned plans to enhance security, provide clean water, and elevate the school to a junior secondary school status soon. He highlighted ongoing efforts by the board, including constructing new classrooms and toilet facilities, to support the initiatives of the current administration led by Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.
The Executive Chairman and his team visited the school to evaluate its condition. The entourage included Board Members, Alhaji Abdulkadir Gada, Alhaji Garba Sarki, and other officials from the board.
Efforts to ensure a conducive learning environment in every part of the state continue to be a top priority for the government, as emphasized by Tambuwal.
