Why I left Nigeria – Bobrisky

Controversial figure, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, recently announced his temporary departure from Nigeria to focus on his mental well-being and health. In a statement shared on Instagram, Bobrisky expressed frustration over encountering travel disruptions attributed to local security agencies. He mentioned requesting a refund for two unused business class tickets worth N9.8 million each from the airline involved.

Bobrisky addressed potential critics in his post, dismissing negative comments about his situation. He highlighted the challenges he faced in successfully boarding a flight, emphasizing the financial implications of purchasing multiple business class tickets. Despite the obstacles faced, Bobrisky maintained a positive outlook, stating that he has faith in divine protection.

This decision to leave Nigeria came shortly after Bobrisky’s release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He had encountered a setback when he was prevented from boarding a flight to London and subsequently taken for questioning by the EFCC regarding alleged bribery accusations. Bobrisky denied the claims and was eventually released on bail pending further investigation.
