Wike hails security chiefs for strengthening FCT safety

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory recently acknowledged the contributions of two security agency heads towards enhancing security in the FCT. The honorees, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Benneth Igweh, and Assistant Director-General of the Department of State Services, Ado Muazu were commended for their efforts. Igweh, previously the Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command, was promoted to AIG overseeing Zone 7, while Muazu, the former FCT State Director of DSS, was promoted to Assistant D-G and transferred to the National Headquarters. At a dinner in Abuja, the minister praised the officers for their dedication to ensuring safety, with Igweh recognized for his relentless efforts in combating crime and Muazu for his exceptional service. The minister emphasized the importance of honoring hard-working individuals while they are still alive, citing the officers’ significant role in securing lives and properties. The FCT Administration also presented each officer with a Prado Jeep to support their logistics in their new roles. Igweh expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing security in the FCT, urging criminals to beware of his increased authority as AIG. Both officers expressed readiness to collaborate further with the minister to ensure the safety of Abuja residents.
