Zhejiang officially welcome Kalu to China

The Nigerian women’s basketball team player, Ezinne Kalu, has joined the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the Women’s Chinese Basketball League. The club shared their excitement on social media, welcoming Kalu to the team.

Kalu, who recently arrived in China for a short stint in the WCBA, previously played for the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA. She expressed gratitude for the support she has received as she settles into her new temporary home in China.

Having joined Zhejiang for the new season, Kalu had a successful campaign with the D’Tigress at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. She shared her signing with the Chinese club on social media, expressing her enthusiasm for the opportunity.

Kalu fulfilled her dream of playing in the WNBA with the Atlanta Dream, making history as the first athlete from a historically black college to play in the league in over 15 years. Her consistent performance has been notable, especially in the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship.
