Police, military dismantle kidnapping syndicate, kill one in Imo 

In a recent operation in Imo State, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (Tiger Base) of the State Police Command, working in conjunction with military personnel, successfully took down a suspected member of a certain group. The operation, carried out in Ezioha, Mbaitoli Local Government Area, resulted in the dismantling of a kidnapping syndicate and the rescue of four individuals who had been abducted. Among those rescued were individuals from various locations, including Orlu LGA and Owerri. During the operation, the security forces were fired upon by the suspects, leading to the neutralization of one suspect while others managed to escape with injuries. A variety of items were recovered from the hideout, including weapons, vehicles, a Biafra flag, and charms associated with criminal activities. Efforts are ongoing to capture the fleeing suspects, and the authorities have praised the operatives for their prompt and effective response. The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, and the Commander of the 34 Artillery Brigade have commended the joint efforts of the security forces in combating crime in the state and encourage them to continue their efforts in maintaining law and order.
