A caregiving training and support platform led by entrepreneur, Muyiwa Lawrence, has been admitted as a member of the American Caregiver Association, a professional body focused on caregiver standards, education, and certification.
The membership places the Nigeria-based initiative within an international network of caregiving practitioners and institutions committed to advancing professional standards in care delivery and training.
The platform, Caregivers.ng, provides structured training for individuals interested in caregiving, with modules covering elderly care support, patient hygiene, first aid and CPR, massage therapy, among others.
Commenting on the development, Lawrence described the recognition as an important step in strengthening professional standards within the caregiving space.
He said, “This achievement reflects our dedication to building a professional caregiving culture in Nigeria. Becoming part of the American Caregiver Association provides us with greater opportunities to align with global standards while continuing to empower individuals through quality training and support. We remain committed to raising caregivers who will make meaningful differences in the lives of those they serve.”
Lawrence also stated that caregiving must be viewed beyond formal instruction.
“Caregiving is more than a profession; it is a commitment to humanity. We believe that everyone deserves support, comfort and care, especially during vulnerable moments,” he added.
