Self-acclaimed relationship therapist and social media influencer, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has expressed grief over the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan, saying she may never recover from the shock of losing him.
In an emotional tribute shared on her Instagram handle on Sunday, the influencer reflected on the pain of losing her child, the promises she had made to him and the memories she would continue to cherish.
“I will keep living in denial, I miss you, bought the iPad I promised you, and also the bicycle,” she wrote.
Blessing CEO recalled the gifts she had promised to buy her son, expressing the pain of knowing that she would no longer have the opportunity to fulfil those promises while he was alive.

She also imagined how Bryan would have waited for her to return home, a thought that appeared to deepen her sense of loss.
“You would have waited for mummy to come back …” she wrote.
Describing the qualities she would always associate with her son, the influencer remembered him as a child whose kindness, confidence and intelligence had left a lasting impression on her.
“This is how I will forever remember you.
“Selfless, kind, outspoken, bold and very intelligent,” she wrote.
Despite her grief, Blessing CEO expressed her belief that her son was in heaven, promising to preserve his memory wherever life takes her.
“I know you are in Heaven, but I promise to carry your memories everywhere I go,” she added.
She also admitted that the shock of his death remained difficult to come to terms with, describing him affectionately as her guardian angel.
“I miss you my baby, I will never recover from this shock.
“Rest on my guardian angel. Bryan
“Sleep well my Dum Dum, mummy loves and miss you.
“Everywhere is so cold and quiet,” she wrote.

The tribute comes days after Blessing CEO spoke publicly about her son’s death in an emotional interview following her release from custody.
The influencer also recounted that her son had reportedly dreamt about his death and shared the dream with his brother, Darell, her sister, Precious, and her father, but not with her.
“When my son was alive, he dreamt that he died. He told his brother Darell and my sister Precious, who prayed for him. He also told my Dad, but he never told me,” she was quoted as saying.
Blessing CEO said she learnt while in custody that her son had been relying on two inhalers. She was reportedly informed that he died at a hospital at about 6:30am on a Monday.
Reflecting on her release from custody and the loss she returned home to face, she said the news had taken away the joy she might otherwise have felt.
“I didn’t come out to the best of news. I didn’t come out excited because I lost something I couldn’t get back,” she said.
She added that she had struggled with guilt but was trying to find the strength to move forward, holding on to the thought that her son would want her to make him proud.
“I came out knowing that wherever my son is, he wants to be proud of his mother,” she added.
Blessing CEO was released on bail in late October after spending months in custody over separate alleged fraud cases. The cases remain ongoing, and her release on bail does not amount to an acquittal.
